Realtor® Charity Auction

A HUGE thank you to all of you who supported, donated, sponsored, and attended our Annual YCAR Auction! Thanks to you, we were able to pour $30,000 back into our community for the kids of Yamhill County!

The three charity recipients for 2017 are:

Henderson House:

Soup Kitchen at St. Barnabas: The community outreach feeding meals ministry of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in McMinnville, Oregon. “Feeding the hungry in mind, body and spirit…since 1990.”

Newberg FISH: Friends In Service to Humanity, a member of the Oregon Food Network, A cooperative network of agencies focusing efforts on providing emergency food services, housing, medical and dental care, and job placement.

Auction Committee

The Auction Committee members have a heart for their communities, commitment to the cause, and have worked with each other for several years. YCAR is profoundly grateful to our Auction Committee led by Tim Ciulla and Emily Natalie. These people graciously offered their time and resources this year to mobilize and organize the auction. Because of their leadership, generosity, and teamwork, Yamhill County charities have received over $4000,000 from YCAR since the Auction began in 1995.

Auction History

The auction started in 1995 when we supported Alan Baker as the Biggest Turkey during Turkey Rama. That event was such a huge success that YCAR decided to host an annual event to raise money to give back to our community. Lydia Zimmerman, a Realtor® at the time, chaired the auction from 1995 – 2002. Naida Paris co-chaired and chaired from 2001 until 2005, and Tim Ciulla has chaired the committee since 2006.

The Auction Committee is proud to report that over the past 20 years we have provided over $348,000 to local charities. The charities are chosen by a vote of the YCAR membership and a charity cannot receive funds two years in a row.
